Keto Restaurant Guide

Keto at CAVA

CAVA works well for keto because every bowl is built from parts, and CAVA publishes nutrition for each one. The proteins are all low: grilled steak is 1g carbs, braised lamb 2g, grilled chicken 3g. The greens bases are 3 to 6g, much of it fiber, and dips like Crazy Feta and tzatziki are 1g each.

The carbs sit in the grain bases and the bread. A scoop of Saffron Basmati Rice is 54g carbs, Black Lentils are 37g, and a whole pita is 54g. Build on greens, choose one or two dips, add avocado and olives for fat, and a full bowl stays in single-digit net carbs.
