Keto Coffee and Tea: Net Carbs in 21 Drinks and Add-Ins

Black coffee and plain tea are close to zero carbs: USDA lists 0g for a cup of brewed coffee and 0.7g for a cup of brewed black tea. What goes into the cup decides whether it stays that way.

Bottled drinks are where the numbers jump: a 13.7 fl oz Starbucks Frappuccino lists 54g of carbohydrate and an 18.5 fl oz Pure Leaf Sweet Tea lists 42g.

Plain drinks and kitchen add-ins come from USDA FoodData Central. Creamers and bottled drinks come from Chobani, Califia Farms and PepsiCo’s product facts site, which lists the bottled Starbucks and Pure Leaf lines. Add-ins are shown per typical pour so you can add them to the drink you make.

The black, unsweetened versions are. Starbucks Cold Brew Black Unsweet and Califia Farms Pure Black Cold Brew each list 2g of carbs per 12 fl oz. Flavored cold brews with sweet cream are not: Starbucks Cold Brew Vanilla Sweet Cream lists 19g per 11 fl oz can.

Regular sweet tea is not. Pure Leaf Sweet Tea lists 42g of carbohydrate, all sugar, per 18.5 fl oz bottle. Pure Leaf Unsweetened Black Tea and Pure Leaf Zero Sugar Sweet Tea both list 0g; the zero sugar version uses sucralose and acesulfame potassium.
