Keto Hard Seltzer: Net Carbs in 22 Seltzers and Cans
Plain hard seltzers are among the lowest-carb alcoholic drinks you can buy in a can. White Claw has 2g per 12 fl oz, Truly Wild Berry 2g, and Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer 0g. The trouble starts when a can says lemonade, chelada or margarita.
Every brand figure below is copied from the maker's own product page or nutrition label, or from Anheuser-Busch's consumer information site. The single generic row, hard lemonade, comes from USDA FoodData Central because Mike's does not publish numbers for its original lemonade.
Stronger cans change the calories more than the carbs. White Claw Surge and Truly Unruly are 8% ABV, so each 12 fl oz can holds 1.6 times the alcohol of a 5% can.

What to know
- Under 3g per can: Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer (0g), Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda Classic Cola (1g), White Claw (2g), White Claw Surge (2g) and Truly Wild Berry (2g).
- Vodka seltzers made with juice run a little higher. High Noon flavors checked here range from 3.8g to 5.3g, and NÜTRL Lime and Classic Cranberry have 3.2g and 4.3g.
- Lemonade and cocktail styles are where the carbs hide: Bud Light Chelada has 20.8g, Lime-A-Rita 28.7g and a generic hard lemonade about 34g.
- Zero sugar is not zero carb. Mike's Hard Lemonade Zero Sugar still lists 6g carbs per 12 fl oz.
- Read the ABV. An 8% can such as White Claw Surge (160 calories) or Bud Light Platinum Seltzer (170 calories) counts as more than one standard drink.
